There are a LOT of Sandals “experts” out there but you have proven yourself head and shoulders above the rest. My question pertains to the new Sandals Dunns River.
There is a lot of chatter on Facebook group pages that it’s not smart to book at a brand new resort because they may not be ready. Sandals Royal Curacao was sited as an example.
I have a very high end room booked for opening week for our anniversary. Should I be worried and start looking at different options or do you think we’ll be fine? I don’t want our trip to be anything less than perfect our to an “incomplete” resort but I also don’t want to switch and then find out everything was perfect for the grand opening.
I would really appreciate you thoughts and opinion.

Hi Joel! Great to see you here! It is always a delight to assist! So, here’s the thing: what they say *can* be true. Any time a new property is open, it is only normal that there are growing and opening pains, as everyone prepares for this. However, I can say that if I was to hedge my bets on a resort to open properly, it would be Sandals Dunn’s River. I have never felt such excitement amongst the executive team as I do for this resort. Moreover, this resort has a unique opportunity: it is in Jamaica! Where a resort like Curacao is situated far away from all other Sandals Resorts, the brand can make real-time adjustments as needed for Sandals Dunns River. Whether moving around logistical items or personnel, having so many resorts on the island allows Sandals to react real-time to challenges that might arrive. I’ll be in this resort before it opens and hope to drip some content on quick platforms like Instagram that you’ll be able to check out! ~ Addison
Hello Joe, we watched your video and we are looking at booking our 10 year anniversary. I looked on sandals website for the Ochi resort. We are looking to stay at Butler Village Honeymoon Romeo & Juliet One Bedroom Villa Suite with Private Pool, which they pricing 8,971 from September 21-28th, 2024. What deal would you be able to set up? We are looking for a private pool preferably and preferably with butler.
